Sri City, August 8, 2023:- Marking Sri City’s 15th Anniversary of the foundation day, Sri City Foundation, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Nellore conducted a blood donation drive on Tuesday. The Sri City Trade Centre and Business Centre concurrently housed the blood donation stations, marking a huge success with more than 425 volunteers drawn among the industrial employees donating blood, surpassing the previous numbers.
Accentuating the importance of voluntary blood donation, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, appreciated all the donors, and said, “Blood donation is a life-saving process and I greatly appreciate you all for coming forward to be a part of this noble service, held in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of Sri City. I am very happy as there is a remarkable response from the community.” In order to benefit those who are in need of blood in emergencies, Sri City Foundation would keep a database of Sri City blood donors, he stated.
The camp began at around 9.30 a.m. and continued up to 4.30 pm, with a steady stream of donors throughout the day. Altogether, over 300 employees from various industrial units, including Axxelent Pharma, Brakes India, Danieli, Isuzu, Piolax, Toray Industries, Aisan, Toray, MMD, and several others, donated blood.
Following blood donations, Dr. Ch. Ramesh, Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Sullurupeta, examined the condition of donors. A team headed by Mr. M. Madhusudhana Rao, PRO, Indian Red Cross Society, Nellore conducted the camp. Sri City Foundation officials coordinated the arrangements. Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), Mr. Y. Ramesh, Security Chief, Mr. V. Sivakumar Reddy, AGM, HR, Mr. S. Surendra Kumar, Sr. Manager, Sri City Foundation and others were present.
