Sri City, March 21, 2023:- Mr. Edgar Pang, Consul General of Singapore, Chennai visited Sri City on Tuesday. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome and briefed him on the infrastructure, unique features, such as sustainability, green efforts, etc., and the brisk pace of development in Sri City.
Commenting on the visit, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy said that the Consul General’s visit assumes significance at the backdrop of Singapore emerging as India’s largest trade and investment partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), underlining growing business links between the two countries. “I am confident, the visit would pave way for some more investments in Sri City from Singapore,“ he added.
Fascinated by the world-class infrastructure and investor friendly ambiance in Sri City, Mr. Edgar Pang said,”Sri City is an impressive project with a great potential for further growth.” Expressing happiness over the presence of a few Singaporean companies in Sri City, he mentioned that he would introduce Sri City’s business potential to the Singapore companies interested in investing in India.
During the briefing session, Consul General quizzed on different aspects of the business city. His attention was drawn on the available investment options in different sectors, financial incentives from the state and central governments, and specific advantage of doing business in Sri City.
The Consul General was accompanied by a team of officials, including Mr. Sabareesh Nair, Regional Director, Enterprise Singapore. They all went round the industrial park and had a close glimpse of the production facilities at Vital Paper, a company from Singapore that makes packaging material.
