Sri City, September 28, 2022: Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, congratulated Mr. Pallipattu Nagaraju felicitated on his selection for the Kendra Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar (for poetry)-2022. “It is a matter of tremendous satisfaction for all literary enthusiasts,” Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy remarked of Mr. Nagaraju’s nomination for the prestigious literary honour. “We are glad since he is from the Sri City neighbourhood and has achieved national acclaim at such a young age. “I am convinced that he would win the top literary accolade in the country, the ‘Jnanpith,’ in the future,” he added.
Mr. A. D. Rangarajan, Special Correspondent, The Hindu, Tirupati, appreciated Mr. Nagaraju’s distinctive literary approach, saying that his subjects are from the lower strata of society – a fisherwoman, a cobbler, a sanitation worker — who he refers to as productive communities.
Expressing his delight at the honour bestowed upon him, Mr. Nagaraju said, “I feel happy and consider this honour bestowed upon me in my own neighbourhood. I am overjoyed with the support.” “Through my poetry, I wish to get across a message that the moment has come, not only to raise essential concerns about contemporary issues, but also to rise to the occasion in resolving them,” he remarked of his work ‘Yalai Pudisindi’.
Mr. Nagaraju, a poet and teacher from Rajagopalapuram, Satyavedu Mandal, was chosen for Kendra Sahitya Academy award for his Telugu work titled ‘Yalai Pudisindi,’ a compilation of 52 thought-provoking poems that address contemporary social issues.
Mr. D. Ravi, Press Relations Officer, commenced the session with a welcome message. Mr. Palleti Balaji, PRO of Sri City and a well-known Telugu story writer, introduced Mr. Nagaraju and spoke about his literary works and distinct style.
