Sri City, August 4, 2021 : The Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (APIDC), Bandi Sivasakthi Nagendra Punyasheela paid a visit to Sri City on Wednesday. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City accorded a warm welcome and gave a detailed presentation on the world-class integrated business city. Highlighting its unique features, he summarised the impact of Sri City on the economic development of the region, which was considered ‘backward’ till recent past.
The Chairperson evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects of Sri City. Appreciating the initiatives taken by the Sri City management in developing such a mega industrial park in a backward region, she expressed happiness as several industries have already invested in Sri City and offering livelihood to more than 50,000 people. She mentioned that Sri City stands as a testimony to the farsighted vision of Dr. Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy, who had inaugurated Sri City during his tenure as Chief Minister of AP.
Commenting on the visit Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said,”It is an honour to have Punyasheela with us. This is her very first visit to Sri City after assuming charge as the APIDC Chairperson. Her observations and suggestions are very encouraging.”
The purpose of their visit was to have a firsthand knowledge on the world class infrastructure set up at Sri City and assess its potential for industrial investments. Following the briefing session Punyasheela went round the campus and observed the blooming industrial activity. She visited the production units ISUZU. T. Murali, Joint Director (Industries), Y.S.S. Suresh, Asst. General Manager, APIDC accompanied the Chairperson.
